The Canon EF is the finest of autoexposure Canons, having more in common with the professional F1 than the mass-market A series. With a hybrid mechanical/electronic shutter giving speeds to 30 seconds and still usable with dead batteries, and including mirror lockup in a bulletproof, brass-clad body, this was and still is an impressive camera by any standard.
